Bruce Black, M.D. is the founder and Director of Comprehensive Psychiatric Associates. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and has expertise in psychopharmacology, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and Attention Deficit Disorder. H e graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1983, and completed residency training in Psychiatry at Tufts University and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Brown University. Prior professional experiences include serving as Director of Outpatient Psychiatry and of the Mood Disorders Program at New England Medical Center & Tufts University School of Medicine, and as Chief of the Anxiety Disorders Outpatient Research Program at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Black is the author of over thirty-five scholarly papers and chapters in major medical textbooks. He is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and is on the Medical Staff of New England Medical Center and of Newton-Wellesley Hospital.  Back to Top

Audrey Rubin Nathan, LICSW is the Associate Clinical Director of Comprehensive Psychiatric Associates. She is a Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with adolescents, children and adults. Ms. Nathan received her Master of Social Work from Syracuse University. She has expertise in the treatment of Eating Disorders, trauma, woman’s issues, child and adolescent development, and parenting issues. Prior professional experience includes serving as Program Director for Child and Adolescent Services at Westwood Lodge Hospital.  Back to Top

Charles E. Adler, M.D. is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has expertise in psychopharmacology, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, and individual psychotherapy. Dr. Adler graduated Magna cum Laude from Harvard University in 1974 and from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1978.He completed residency training in Psychiatry at McLean Hospital. From 1988 to 1998, Dr. Adler served as Medical Director of Westwood Lodge Hospital. Dr. Adler is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine, and is on the Medical Staff of Deacon-Waltham Hospital.  Back to Top

Steven J. Auster, M.D. is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He has special expertise in psychopharmacology, Attention Deficit Disorder, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and Mood and Anxiety Disorders. Dr. Auster graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1977.He completed residency training in Psychiatry at Boston University Medical Center and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at McLean Hospital–Harvard University. Prior professional experiences include serving as Director of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Boston Road Clinic in Worcester, as Senior Psychiatrist-in-Charge of the Hall-Mercer Children’s Center at McLean Hospital, and as Director of the Child Mental Health Unit at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. Dr. Auster is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is on the Medical Staff of McLean Hospital.  Back to Top

Ellen Cohen, M.D. is a Psychiatrist with expertise in psychopharmacology of mood and anxiety disorders. She is Board Certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Cohen graduated from Barnard College, has a master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work, and received her M.D. from Jefferson Medical College in 1986. She com­pleted residency training in Psychiatry at Tufts University in 1989 as well as a fellowship in Consultation Psychiatry at Brigham & Women’s Hospital. Stephanie Davidoff, M.D., Ph.D. is a Psychiatrist with expertise in mood and anxiety disor­ders and women’s mental health, including hormonal and pregnancy-related conditions. She is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry . Dr. Davidoff graduated from University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Medicine in 1991. She completed residency training in Psy­chiatry at McLean Hospital in 1995, where she also completed a Neuroscience Research Fellowship in 1997. She completed residency training in Psy­chiatry at the Tufts University and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Children’s Hospital of Boston. Debora Bolter, Ph.D. is a Clinical Psychologist providing individual, family, and couples psychotherapy for chil­dren, adolescents, and adults. She received her Ph.D. from Boston Univer­sity and completed post-graduate training at Harvard University and Beth Israel Hospital. She received her Ph.D. from George Mason University in 1991, and completed post-graduate training at the Baltimore Veterans Administration Medical Center and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, DC. Linda D. Kames, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience providing cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy for individuals and couples. Dr. Kames received her Doctorate in Psy­chol­ogy from University of Denver in 1981. Areas of special expertise include anxiety disorders, coping with chronic illness, stress and pain management, marital and sexual prob­lems, and women’s health issues. From 1976 to 2004, she served as the Mental Health Consultant and psychotherapist to the Pediatric Services at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. DeeDee Pike, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing short and long term psychotherapy to adults, couples and adolescents. She received her doctorate in psychology from the University of Denver in 1985. Dr. Pike completed post-doctoral training in Behavioral Medicine at Cambridge Hospital. She has worked at Lowell General Pain Center and St. Elizabeth's Pain Management Center where she provided consultation to the oncology staff and their patients and families. Dr. Pike is trained in numerous approaches to psychotherapy and enjoys working collaboratively with patients to determine an individualized, flexible approach to treatment. Her areas of expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, life transitions, health issues, psychosocial aspects of cancer, and the impact of learning issues in adulthood on work, family life and relationships. Dr. Pike has held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School, Lesley University and Tufts University School of Medicine.   Back to Top
